My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet 1 year old, 48 pound Jolly Rancher! True to his name, Jolly Rancher is as sweet as they come! To this happy, affectionate boy, there’s no such thing as a stranger—just friends he hasn’t met yet! Jolly Rancher loves saying hello and initiating play, and while he sometimes gets a bit excited and forgets his manners, he’s working hard on not jumping. He’s very food motivated and a quick learner—he already knows sit, down, come, and is currently mastering spin! He enjoys walks and is great on leash once he gets going, often checking in along the way like the good boy he is. When he’s not out exploring with his nose, you’ll find him zooming around the yard or playing keep-away with his favorite ball. Jolly Rancher is house and crate trained and would thrive in a family that can give him his three favorite things: love, attention, and playtime.October 5, 2025, 7:56 am

More about this rescue

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Please help us help the animals!
