My Friends at Wayside say: - I’m a little shy—slow and steady wins the race with me. - I have displayed some touch sensitivities. Ask our staff for more info! - An adopter willing to learn about dog body language would help me thrive! - Once I`m comfortable, I can get playful and wild! - I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information.
My home needs are: - I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous about too much petting. - If you have kids in the home aged 6-9, I will need to meet them since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises. -Wayside recommends you bring your dog to meet me before adoption, as I enjoy hanging out over playtime.
Hiya, I’m Tiger!
I’m an 8-year-old terrier mix with a whole lot of love to give and a personality that’ll make you smile every single day. I may come across a little shy when we first meet, but once I feel safe, my true colors really shine. What can I say, new places and new people can feel big and overwhelming to a small guy like me! I’m full of affection, sweetness, and even a surprising amount of playful, puppy-like energy! Don’t let my age fool you… I still know how to get a little wild in the best way.
Because I can be unsure at first, I’m looking for an adopter who understands dog body language or is willing to learn. I do best when people give me the space and time I need to settle in. When I realize I’m safe and loved, that’s when the magic happens. I get wiggly, goofy, and ready for all the fun. Playtime is one of my favorite ways to bond!
I’d be a great fit for a home with kids who are 6 or older. For kiddos between 6–9, we’ll need to meet first to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I’d also benefit from meeting any potential doggie siblings ahead of time, just to ensure we’re a good match. I’m a sensitive soul, but I truly want to make friends.
People describe me as cute, awkward, and totally endearing, and honestly…I think that sums me up perfectly! I love sticking close to familiar humans, leaning in for gentle pets, and curling up in laps like I’m still a tiny puppy. Too many pets can overwhelm me, so I appreciate someone who can listen to my signals. When you do, I’ll reward you with trust, loyalty, and the sweetest cuddles.
I also like to keep my space tidy. Yep, I keep my kenn
