Carmel Apple is a cute 4-month old female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on September 3, 2025 with her two siblings (Tootsie Pop and Peanut Butter Kiss) and their mother (Musketeer).

Musketeer and her kittens had been found in Marietta Ohio and were very healthy/socialized, so someone had obviously been giving them food and loving attention~

Carmel Apple has a brown tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and an adorable kitten face with golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers.

Carmel Apple was given vaccinations, wormer and flea treatment on September 16, 2025. She was given booster vaccines on October 7, 2025. Carmel Apple weighed 3.3 lbs when she entered our shelter on September 3, 2025.

These pictures of Carmel Apple were taken on October 12, 2025. This young lady has a sweet, affectionate personality and is quite the playgirl. Carmel Apple's claim to fame during her photo session was that she could easily leap over the wicker basket (not just once, but multiple times). We managed to snap a few pictures that captured some of her fantastic gymnastics

Carmel Apple was taken to a veterinarian clinic on October 13, 2025 for her spay procedure but, unfortunately, she was unable to undergo surgery that day due to a 'kitty cold'. Carmel Apple weighed 4.2 lbs that day. She will be scheduled again in a few weeks.

Since Musketeer's kittens were fully weaned when they entered our shelter, Carmel Apple and her sister Tootsie Pop have always shared a cage .. So they are very attached to each other. Naturally we'd love to see them find a home together.

Carmel Apple went home with a foster family on November 22, 2025 who plans to adopt her after she is spayed (a requirement for HSOV adoptions to be finalized. Carmel Apple's sister was adopted by the foster family on November 22nd since she had already been spayed. We are happy that the girls were able to remain together since they are very attached to each other.

Carmel Apple was spayed on February 13, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 5.4 lbs that day.

Happy Update: Carmel Apple was officially adopted by her foster family on February 13, 2026.
