My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Bubba Blu was brought in by a community member on October 15, 2025

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Bubba Blu! Bubba Blu is a sweet and gentle soul who's ready to find a new home (preferably with lots of blankets and stuffed toys). He's very well potty trained and has an adorable habit of burying his toys - you might find them tucked under a towel or blanket! Bubba Blu absolutely loves to be pet and leans right into you, soaking up all the affection he can get. He's also done well on social walks with other dogs, though he can get a bit excitable when he's having fun. He's currently a bit underweight and is on a gradual feeding plan, so his new family should follow up with their veterinarian to keep him on track. With his loving nature and quirky charm, Bubba Blu is sure to make a wonderful companion! Come and ask about adopting him today!

At SDHS:
Bubba Blu has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
