My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

****The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org****

Lainey came in at a super busy time in this year’s kitten season from an area working on TNR.  She and her siblings were too small for spay/neuter surgeries so they came to the shelter.  She was in rough shape, but is now healthy and looking better every day. This petite green-eyed girl is friendly and playful. She likes toys and loves treats. She grew accustomed to being given an extra snack of canned food to help her put on weight so she knows what the good snacks really are!   Lainey was born May of 2025. If she is not spayed by the time she is adopted, she will be on a spay/neuter contract. She is microchipped, FeLV/FIV negative and up-to-date on vaccinations. As always, cat/kitten adoptions are free will donation to approved applicants.

Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
