🐾 Meet This Sweet Girl — Ready to Rescue Your Heart! 🐾
This gentle, smart pup is looking for a loving home where she can thrive with someone who has time to enjoy her sweet company. She came from an older couple who could no longer keep her, and since then, she’s blossomed into a confident, affectionate companion.
✨ Her Superpowers:
Great with kids — she’s gentle with little ones and loves to play with other dogs
Knows all the basics: sit, stay, lay down, potty, bed — plus fun tricks like shake and speak!
Learns fast — just say it a few times and she’s got it!
Up to date on shots and spayed
Takes a daily 16mg Reconcile tablet to help with anxiety, but her dose has been cut in half thanks to her progress
She’s incredibly intuitive and loves being part of a family. Her separation anxiety has improved a lot, but she still does best with someone who’s around more often. Her current owner is in the military part-time and works long hours in agriculture, making it tough to give her the time and attention she deserves.
💛 What She’s Looking For: A home with someone who’s around regularly, loves cuddles and playtime, and can continue her journey toward confidence and calm. She’s been waiting patiently for the right match — could that be you?
If you’re ready to welcome a loyal, loving pup who just wants to be your best friend, she’s ready to rescue your heart.

More about this rescue
Founded in 2005, we are a volunteer home-based rescue group run by dedicated volunteers. Our dogs live in volunteer homes as family members with the same love, care and attention they would receive in an adoptive home.
We provide training, socialization, vet care and evaluation for all of the dogs in our care. All of our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
GSDRI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization licensed by the state of Iowa.
