My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Scottie — the handsome, two-toned sweetheart with a heart every bit as big as his smile.

Scottie is a social, playful boy who lights up the second you walk into the room. He’s the kind of dog who leans in for affection, makes instant friends, and believes every day is a good day if he’s got people to love.

Scottie is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms, but don’t let that scare you — all medication and treatment are fully provided. What he needs most right now is a calm, loving home where he can finish healing while being part of a family.

He’s ready for couch snuggles, backyard zoomies, slow walks while he recovers, and a lifetime of loyalty once he’s cleared.

If you’re looking for a wonderful dog who just wants to belong, Scottie is your boy.
Come meet him and let him show you how sweet life can be with a forever friend by your side.

More about this shelter

Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society a 501c3 was formed to improve the problems of disease, overpopulation & abandonment of stray animals in Garvin County.
Our organization is made up of over 300 members who care about animals. It is an eclectic group varying in race, age, economic and professional levels and religious affiliations. We are, however, single-minded when confronting our community problems of animal cruelty and neglect, overpopulation and the humane treatment in which our strays and homeless dogs and cats are housed. Our goal is to relieve their suffering, do everything in our power to find them homes and provide a decent animal shelter for Garvin County.
