My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌸 Meet Dahlia! 🌸

Dahlia is a sweet, loving girl with the loudest purr you’ll ever hear — seriously, it’s like a tiny motorboat! 💖 She’s the queen of biscuit-making 👑🍪, kneading away happily in her bed or even in the air while you’re holding her. Dahlia absolutely adores her humans and will snuggle up close every chance she gets. 🥰

Though Dahlia is mostly blind, that doesn’t slow her down one bit! She quickly figures out her surroundings and seems to see some shadows or close-up shapes. She also has a mild case of CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia), which gives her the cutest, quirkiest little walk — it’s more of a royal strut, if you ask her! 💃✨

Dahlia loves Churu treats, wet food, and won’t say no to a little chicken from your plate. 🍗 She enjoys toys (even ones without bells!) and is always up for a cozy nap in a comfy bed — her absolute favorite thing in the world. 🛏️💤

This adorable, resilient, and affectionate girl is ready to bring endless purrs, biscuits, and love into her forever home. 💕

** Dahlia needs a quiet, indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. She needs a family who will give her lots of love, attention, and playtime. **

Dahlia does well with other cats after proper introductions. We aren’t sure how she is with dogs. She does well with respectful, older children and she is litter box trained.

🐾 Ready to give this special sweetheart the forever home she deserves? She’s ready to give you her heart in return. 💕

More about this rescue

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens in need. We are based out of Davis County, Utah and we help many of our local and surrounding shelters.
We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric, neonatal, sick, injured and cats who are often overlooked or struggling at shelters. The cats/kittens then go into foster homes, and as needed, we get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption/foster program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes.
We also care for many special needs cats, hospice cats, special needs/senior feral cats who can’t be released outdoors and other cats with needs that essentially make them “unadoptable”. Those kitties stay in our program as permanent fosters, so they will always get the care that they need.
We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats. We provide food, shelters and medical care for dozens of community-cats daily. We also assist low-income families with medical care and food for their animals as we are able to.
We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the community to care for the animals in our organization. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well when we are able, such as dogs, small animals and livestock.
Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives. We will continue to save more and more lives every year!
