My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster writes: Meows of love from me Marsala! If a low maintenance, mellow, sweet, chill kitty companion is what you seek -then I'm your boy!! Your gentle pets and chin and head scratches make me happy. Listening to your sweet soft voice talking to me and singing to me relaxes me and strengthens our bond and connection. Will you be my new mommy, daddy or both? Will you bring me home and give me the chance to be your favorite little fur family member? Meows of loving thanks!!

"Meet Marsala, a distinguished 6-year-old grey gentleman whose striking green eyes tell a story of recent change. Along with his companion Marmalade, Marsala came to us after losing his beloved owner, facing a whole new chapter in life. His soft grey coat and expressive face hint at his gentle nature, though he's still finding his footing in his temporary home.
In our care, Marsala has shown himself to be incredibly gentle, if reserved. While he accepts affection with perfect manners, he's still processing his new surroundings - like many cats who've known only one home, big changes take time to adjust to. During his stay in our community room, we witnessed a touching moment when he chose to stay close to a female cat, finding comfort in her presence. This sweet interaction showed us that beneath his careful exterior lies a social soul.
Though Marsala may seem a bit 'frozen' at first, he never shows an ounce of aggression - just the careful consideration of a cat who needs time to warm up. His civil nature with other cats and gentle acceptance of human attention suggest that, with patience and understanding, this handsome boy will blossom in a loving home.
Looking for a gentle soul to cherish? Come meet Marsala - sometimes the quietest hearts have the most love to give.

"

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I have lived with cats in my previous home.

I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.

I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.

Marsala tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
