Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
This helps Animal Care Centers of NYC | Manhattan with pet care costs.
What my friends at ACC say about me:
My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!
I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.
I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing.
I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.

Cinnamon Bear has made a good improvement since his first assessment and now fully tolerates petting while eating treats. He was in the cubby, and then he moved into the main part of the kennel, where he was a little bit more nervous and assumed a low body posture when another petting session was given, but he tolerated it while remaining slightly shy.
Cinnamon Bear tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.
