My foster writes: Sony but we call him Sunny, also "Smudge" because of the cute black smudges on his nose and chin. Such a friendly and active cat. Opposite of a spirit cat-you will see Sunny all the time and if you sit down he will immediately run over and start making biscuits on your lap. He is a small cat and likes to take a good nap in a secret spot-you will find him on a closest shelf, in a laundry basket, and one time in a doll bed! I have a litter robot and he immediately started using it! No more scooping every day! We fostered Sunny's litter mate, Milo and he was a very sweet cat so now it is Sunny's turn to find a forever home. If you are looking for a cat with a lot of personality in a small package, this is your cat!
A volunteer writes: Sony came with twin Milo to the Manhattan Care Center as their family lost their home. He was shy and unsure for days after his arrival. A cold kept him out of the adoption quarters but he is back and well and with a bonus: Sony left his timid self behind! He is not in hiding anymore and is right away at his door when a guest is in sight. He is one welcoming kitty with a relaxed face and quite enthusiastic about meeting a new friend. He leans and purrs, almost falls off his window and even leans his head on my chest for more love. Sony lived with many adults and is said to be a friendly, very active and affectionate cat who loved to snooze in the most unusual places like the laundry hamper, the washing machine, the top of the refrigerator...He would be friendly to all including kids, cats and dogs after initial shyness just like what we have observed at the care center. Sony is a cute Tuxedo, a sweet, lively and very pleasant kitty who will make once again a wonderful pet for years to come. Update: Sony is a cat with a job! He is the Official Greeter in our cat community room. He introduces new cats to the premises, makes them feel at home and helps getting them adopted! He is very patient even with the most pushy cats. With us, staff and volunteers, Sony has remained a charmer, his way to thank us to have given him the chance to spend his shelter life in our lovely playroom. You might say:how come is Sony still with us when he is good with cats, kids and even dogs? Well, Sony will need some dental work(like many cats above five year old) and that makes adopters hesitant to give him the home he so deserves. Sony is so worth your attention and if you are contemplating adopting Sony and providing him with dental care, you will get an amazing forever best friend. Sony is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 13.1 Age: 6yrs 9mths 3wks
