My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a happy, adventurous girl who is smart as a whip and super well behaved? Well, AVRIL is your girl. She is estimated to be between 1-2 years of age and she is playful, but knows when to settle down. She loves to give kisses and cuddles to her people. AVRIL walks great on her leash and she adores going to walks with her humans to see what the world has to offer her! AVRIL lives with large and small dogs, along with cats and she is great with all of them. She is still learning but is making huge strides with her foster family - she may need some polishing on playing fetch, sit and other basic commands.

AVRIL is looking for a home where she can go on walks, play in the backyard…maybe with a sibling…and give her humans all of her love.

More about this rescue

A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.

ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
