My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet newcomer Junior!

Junior was sadly surrendered several weeks after the passing of his dad. In the several days that it took Junior & his brother Jack to be rescued from the situation, we were told that he stayed in his crate the entire time - without a single potty accident. We can't imagine how scared and confused he was during that time, and how hard he was trying to be a good boy.

Here at the shelter, Junior's goofy personality is starting to show. He is thriving during playgroups with other dogs. Understandably nervous upon arrival, he blossomed the moment he met his new playgroup partner Clifford, an equally muscular and physical player. His ideal bestie is someone he can bounce off of with no repercussions.

While Junior can seem standoffish at first, all he needs is a few minutes to build up trust before his smiley, warm personality shows through. As office dog, he is quiet, clean and very well-behaved. He is not a counter surfer and chooses to stick in a corner closest to the nearest available human.

We believe that once in a home, Junior will be the most loyal and faithful companion you could choose. He takes treats incredibly gently, and despite his muscled, intimidating exterior, we can tell that his soul is sensitive and tender.

This handsome boy has several strikes against him - his breed, for one, and of course being a black large dog in a shelter. We are already beginning to see him mentally deteriorate in this kennel environment, and our greatest wish is for him to find his forever home before the holiday season comes to a close.

Junior's adoption fee is partially sponsored. If you would like to open your home to this loveable meathead, please consider coming to the shelter to meet him or filling out the application on our website.

More about this shelter

Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, Inc is a non-profit organization committed to helping our community become a place where animals are treated with kindness and respect. Further, we want to be a voice for the welfare of animals in our community through various avenues.

We fulfill these goals by taking in homeless and vulnerable animals, rehabilitating, vetting, and preparing them for their future home, and ensuring that they are a good fit for those interested. Our goal is longevity - we are thorough when approving applications because we want their next home to be forever.

Our pledge to the animals under our charge knows no time limits. Our no-kill mission means that as long as it takes, we will keep searching for their perfect home. And if during that search, they need to rejoin our care, we welcome them with open arms no matter how long it has been.

People
From our paid staff to volunteers that support us at events and throughout the week, the dedicated and passionate community members that are involved in FFAA's mission are what keep us going. We always welcome new faces! If you are interested or know someone who would like to support our efforts, please contact us. We could not do it without our foster families, dog walkers, kennel cleaners, puppy and kitten socializers, event organizers, artists, chefs - everything we do is a group effort and thanks to the time and effort given freely and faithfully year after year.
