My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Katman was brought in by their previous owner.

Why Katman might be the one for you:
Please, please and pretty please, will someone give this classic tabby a fantastic retirement home? Through no fault of his, Katman is looking for a new home for his retirement years. His wishlist for his dream retirement home is not long or difficult. He wants a sunny spot to watch the outside world - he does not want to be outside, just likes watching it. He wants places for naps. He wants laps for cuddling. He wants people around so he can hang out with them. Katman is in a foster home with folks who are spoiling him rotten. All the foster's friends like to come and visit Katman because they all love Katman. They say that Katman is curious, super friendly and fearless. They say he wants pets all the time - when he is not napping. They say Katman deserves the best. Could you give Katman the retirement home he wants and deserves? He hopes so. Contact us to meet this classic tabby and hopefully take him home.

At SDHS:
Katman has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. Katman is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
