My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kaiser – A Gentle, Affectionate Shepherd Mix Looking for His Person
Kaiser is a 5-year-old, 70-lb German Shepherd mix with a soft heart, a calm presence, and a deep love for human attention. He’s social, affectionate, and happiest when he’s close to his people. Kaiser is the kind of dog who doesn’t just live in your home—he becomes part of your daily rhythm, quietly keeping you company and soaking up every bit of love you offer.

Kaiser is affectionate, loving, attention-seeking (in the sweetest way) , calm and steady

He’s a soulful dog who bonds easily and loves being included.
Kaiser currently lives with other dogs and does well, but he prefers to be the main focus in the home. He doesn’t need to be the center of attention every minute, but he truly thrives when he has a person of his own who wants a one-on-one companion. Cats: No exposure to cats so far.

Kaiser loves going on leash, he is crate trained and he has lovely house manners.

He’s attentive, responsive, and enjoys being guided. He is a dog who loves to sit by your feet. He’s a comforting presence—quiet, steady, and affectionate.
Kaiser is calm indoors but perks up when it’s time to go out. He loves Leisurely walks, time together, a relaxed routine.

He’s adaptable but not high-energy—he’s more about companionship than constant activity. He requires a secure fenced yard
Kaiser is looking for a person or family who wants a laid-back, affectionate companion. Someone who enjoys having a dog around the home. A calm environment where he can relax and be close to his people
He doesn’t need intense exercise or high-energy adventures—he just wants a loving home where he can settle in, be adored, and offer his quiet companionship in return.

Kaiser Is Ready to Be Someone’s Heart Dog. If you're looking for a steady, affectionate, people-focused companion who brings calm and warmth into the home, Kaiser may be exactly who you’ve been searching for.

More about this rescue

We hope to ease the problem of population overflow occurring in many of our shelters today. WGSR educates the individual on the importance of sterilizing the pet and providing superior care.

WGSR is composed of a network of foster families and volunteers. We are always in need of more foster care providers with the time and commitment necessary to care for these animals in transition. We are also in need of volunteers who can shuttle dogs from shelters and other sites to our foster homes.
