My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bart is a gentle, soft, and well-socialized sweetheart who recently came into rescue after losing his family. A surrender with a big heart, he is great with other cats and calm around respectful dogs who give him space. He is also wonderfully comfortable with children and will let them hug him every 5 minutes. Originally from a Chinese-speaking home, we don’t know his real name, so his future family can choose any name. His foster thinks he feels like a “Kai”!

Bart is blind in his right eye, but a recent specialist exam confirmed he is comfortable, pain-free, and living happily just as he is. This boy is a foodie, easy to handle, and loves the attention - and then once he trusts you, he’ll curl up in bed and sleep beside you every night, and sleep right by your side if you are working from home.

Despite his age, Bart is active and confident. He navigates stairs easily, enjoys exploring, and lights up during playtime, especially when catnip is involved. He is resilient, affectionate, and deeply people-oriented. Bart would thrive with adopters who value companionship: a family with kids, a couple, or anyone who isn’t out every night. He truly blossoms when he has company nearby.

More about this rescue

VOKRA’s mission is to end cat overpopulation and homelessness. We rescue, heal, then place cats - first in our network of foster homes, then in carefully matched, loving, forever homes. We are a passionate, volunteer-driven charity with extensive cat care experience. We believe that no kill is the only responsible approach to rescue, that Trap-Neuter-Return works and that cats are AWESOME!
