My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Every once in a while, a dog comes along that everyone just needs in their life, and Marlee Mae is exactly that dog. This incredible girl spent her past living a life of constant breeding, but those days are officially behind her. Marlee Mae is ready for her new chapter—one filled with soft beds, yummy treats, and the luxury of being a cherished indoor dog.
Marlee Mae doesn't just meet people; she makes friends! She is incredibly social and loves being the center of attention. Despite her rough start, she has remained a soft, sweet, and gentle girl. She has a calming presence that brings joy to everyone she meets. She is trading in her past for a life of leisure. Marlee Mae is ready to learn what it's like to be a spoiled member of the family, living comfortably inside where it's warm and safe.
Marlee Mae is fully vetted (vaccinated, fixed, and healthy) and is looking for a home where she can finally be the one being taken care of.
After a lifetime of giving to others, it is Marlee Mae’s turn to be loved. If you have room in your heart and your home for a loyal, gentle lady, she is waiting for you!If you would be interested in giving me a furever home, please contact The Humane Society of Adams County, Inc. at (937) 544-8585 to set up a time to come meet me and fill out an adoption application!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is made up of two parts. Upon a decision to adopt an animal we require an application for adoption that asks questions such as housing and veterinary references. We then check references and may require a home visit. Upon approval you will fill out a contract for adoption and pay the adoption fees. Adoption fees are based on age and vetting required.
