My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Pebbles and Megatron were brought into care by their previous owner on November 12, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Pebbles and Megatron are a shy, fearful bonded pair who need a home willing to let them unfold at their own pace. At first, they tend to retreat and observe, but with patience, you'll start to see their true personalities transform. Pebbles offers gentle curiosity, while Megatron brings quiet caution - and together they help each other feel braver. Over time, they warm up into sweet, trusting companions who appreciate soft voices, predictable routines, and people who respect their boundaries. They're not the type to roll out into instant affection, but they absolutely blossom when they feel safe. With slow introductions and steady kindness, they'll show you they're more heart than hardware. For the right adopter, this duo becomes a loyal, tender team ready for their next chapter.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
