Meet Mr. Bubbles! This 54lb, 5 year old, APBT is a sweet boy with a gentle soul. His journey hasn’t been an easy one—animal control found him locked in a storage unit and underweight, and he arrived at the shelter frightened and unsure of the world around him. Despite everything he’s been through, Bubbles is proving just how resilient and loving he can be. He’s still a bit skittish when meeting new people, but with slow movements, patience, and a calm approach, he begins to relax and show his affectionate side. Once he trusts you, he enjoys companionship and quiet moments together. Mr. Bubbles has also done well with the other dogs at the shelter and hasn’t shown any signs of aggression toward them. We’re not sure yet how he feels about cats, so as always, any introductions should be slow and supervised. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
