My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Zoe was brought in by her previous owner.

Why Zoe might be the one for you:
Meet Zoe, an energetic gal with a zest for life that's contagious! She is in a foster home where her foster mom says she is literally the goofiest and sweetest girl ever. Her foster says that she is super well behaved. She responds to her name. She does not mind being left at home alone - but not for too long. She is very friendly with both people and other dogs. Zoe adores belly rubs and will happily roll over for some affectionate scratches. Her loving nature and lively spirit make her an ideal companion for anyone looking to add a burst of joy to their life. Zoe loves to go for walks, and of course loves pup cups! She has a streak of independence about her as she clearly prefers the route she wants to take for her walks and will not budge if her foster wants to take a different route. It is all very endearing.
Zoe is also a bit of a local celebrity, having been featured on NBC 7 as their Pet of the Week in studio!
If Zoe sounds like the girl for you, she is ready to share her best years by your side!

At SDHS:
Zoe has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Zoe is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
