My name is Gertie!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Sweet Gertie is spunky and lovable. She loves to cuddle and play with toys. She’s good with other dogs and gets along well with the other dog in her foster home. Gertie is very smart and curious. If she sees a treat, she automatically sits for it. She loves exploring on walks. She’s pretty alert to squirrels and other small animals. Gertie likes to chase the kitties at her foster home and she would probably be best in a family with a dog of similar size but no cats. She’s very smart and very responsive to verbal commands. Gertie will make a great addition to someone’s family!
