Wren is a happy-go-lucky Great Dane–Belgian Malinois mix puppy who approaches life with confidence, curiosity, and a wagging tail. She loves to explore and play with just about everything and everyone she meets, and she dives into new experiences without hesitation. Fearless, fun, and always ready for the next adventure, Wren is the kind of puppy who keeps you smiling simply by being herself.
She has tons of puppy energy and enjoys staying busy, whether that’s learning to play fetch, socializing with other dogs, or checking out new places. She needs daily walks and mental stimulation to keep her out of trouble, but she does have a good off switch—once it’s time to rest, she settles nicely in her kennel or pen. One of her favorite games is climbing onto furniture and hopping back off like it’s her own personal obstacle course, which she finds endlessly entertaining.
Wren is still very much a puppy and learning the ropes. Potty training is in progress, and she’s currently using potty pads while continuing to improve. She’s also in the chewing-everything stage, so supervision and appropriate chew toys are a must. Kennel training is ongoing, and she sleeps in a pen at night. Leash training has started and will need continued practice, but she rides well in the car and is eager to learn. Her puppy biting is well controlled about 99% of the time and responds quickly to verbal correction.
She lives with a pack of large dogs ranging from 75 to 160 pounds and does great with both male and female dogs. She hasn’t been exposed to small dogs yet but would likely do best with at least one playful canine companion who can match her energy and help burn it off. She hasn’t met cats or children, but based on her temperament, she would likely do well with kids given proper supervision and continued training. With adults and new people, Wren is all enthusiasm and loves making new friends.
Wren is healthy, adaptable, and incredibly easy to love. Her ideal home is one ready to continue her training, housebreaking, and socialization, ideally with another playful dog to keep her company. She fits in easily, brings joy wherever she goes, and has a way of making herself unforgettable—no wonder she’s still a favorite foster.

More about this rescue
To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.
To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.
We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
