My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How Haden arrived:
Haden was brought in by a community member on 11/12/2025.

Why Haden is the one for you:
Haden is a bright, energetic pup who approaches life with lots of enthusiasm and a big heart. His excitement can be charming, but he'll truly thrive with consistent training to help channel his energy in positive ways. While Haden has shown some concerning behaviors around other dogs, he blossoms when he can be the star of the home, soaking up all the attention and guidance from his people. With structure, patience, and a loving environment, Haden has all the potential to become a wonderfully devoted companion.

At SDHS:
Haden has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Haden is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
