My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Timmy was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on 10/16/2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Timmy looks like a black and white dog when you look at his handsome face but it you look at the rest of him, you will see some brilliant brindle coloring which makes him even more handsome. He has been on Dog Days Out with volunteers who describe him as a good boy. He is calm and respectful while being walked. He stays by their side and does not pull to people or other dogs. He is friendly but he waits for a sign before approaching people. He got comfortable with his volunteers quickly AFTER he got into their car. Timmy loves to go out on walks and adventures but he does not like getting into a car and he needs some help and coaxing. We can help you with tips for getting Timmy to love the car as much as he loves walks. Timmy is smart and good dog who is waiting for his new home where he will feel safe and his new family with whom he will feel love. Come meet him at our Escondido campus.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
