My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on June 30, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Radley, a distinguished senior pup with a heart full of love! Known for his sweet and gentle nature, Radley is the epitome of loyalty. He thrives on tender loving care and enjoys the calm and peaceful moments by your side. Despite his age, Radley still has plenty of love to give and dreams of a quiet home where he can spend his days basking in the warmth of a loving family. He does have arthritis in his elbow, so he's looking for an adopter who can continue to support him with medication to keep him happy and comfortable. Adopting Radley means gaining a faithful friend who will cherish every moment with you! He's ready to fill your life with joy and companionship.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
