My name is Arlo!

Arlo came to the shelter as an owner surrender as his people were moving and could not take him. He is a 2-3 year old shiba inu. He's a very social and loving guy, which is a little bit out of character for shibas. We like it! He had a pretty significant flea infestation before he came to us, which led to a skin infection and bad hair loss. We're treating it and are already seeing a great improvement. He has been vet checked and vaccinated and will be neutered soon. His fee is $150.

Arlo also experienced bad frost bite as a newborn and is missing all of the toes on his front feet. This doesn't stop him, however, and he's still able to romp and play. Arlo did live with other animals in his previous home and should be okay with older kids. He's pretty well mannered and an all around good dude.

NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
