My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Doberman Sisters: Asha & Zuri

These two brave Doberman sisters (Born June 2025) arrived in poor condition, having been surrendered skinny and malnourished with rough, scabby ears. In just a few weeks, Asha and Zuri have truly blossomed! Thanks to a careful, vet-approved re-feeding program, their strength has fully returned, and they are now healthy enough to be scheduled for their spay surgeries. They are current on vaccines and microchipped, and ready for their next chapter!

Both girls will need guidance and consistency from their new families on basic life skills like potty training, kennel work, and leash manners. Though, they are highly food motivated! With patience, practice, and the devoted love they’ve always deserved, we are confident Asha and Zuri will grow into beautiful, well-adjusted ladies.

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
