My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable little sweetheart, estimated to be around 5 years old and weighing just 13 pounds, has had quite the journey. Webby was first found wandering as a stray before ending up at a local shelter. While he was there, he experienced a seizure, which meant he urgently needed rescue. That’s when we stepped in and brought him to safety at Pug Nation.

Webby settled in quickly, but after some time he had another seizure, prompting further evaluation. He has since been diagnosed with probable idiopathic epilepsy, a condition that can sound scary at first, but is very manageable with the right care. With consistent medication, many dogs with epilepsy live long, full, joyful lives, and Webby is already proving to be one of them. He’s been an absolute champ about taking his meds, and now that his seizures are largely under control, he’s feeling better, brighter, and more comfortable than ever.

And let us tell you… Webby is a character in the best possible way. Meeting new people sends him into full “wiggle worm” mode - he gets so excited and happy that he can barely contain himself! Sometimes he gets a little mouthy when he’s overstimulated, but it’s all enthusiasm and zero attitude. He genuinely just can’t believe that humans want to love him, and he wants to show you how thrilled he is about it.

Once the initial excitement wears off, Webby transforms into the sweetest cuddle buddy. He’s silly, curious, expressive, and has a knack for bringing smiles to everyone around him. He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves having companions to explore and play with.

Webby would do best in a home with an attentive owner who isn’t gone for long hours and who is ready to keep up with his medical routine. In return, you’ll get a dog who will adore you with every ounce of his goofy little heart. Webby is truly something special: resilient, joyful, and overflowing with personality. He deserves a forever home filled with love, comfort, and someone who will cherish his bright spirit. Interested in giving Webby the life he deserves? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
