Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tank — A Soft, Fluffy Sweetheart (Who’s Definitely Not Built Like a Tank! 😂❤️)
Tank is a 2-year-old neutered male Chihuahua mix with a soft, fluffy cream-colored coat and an incredibly gentle heart. Though his name suggests muscle and might, this little fellow is more like a marshmallow—sweet, soft, and ready to melt into your arms.
Tank spent all his young life in a home crowded with many other dogs, and when everything suddenly collapsed, he found himself frightened, confused, and alone. At the shelter, he was tossed into a kennel, evaluated by strangers, and completely abandoned. Feeling overwhelmed and trapped, Tank barked, cowered, trembled, and hid in the corner of his “room,” hoping the unfamiliar people would go away so he could feel safe again.
Because of his fear, others passed him by.
But Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows did not.
We saved Tank—along with his extended family of dogs—and brought him into safety and kindness.
Now, Tank is blossoming beautifully. He’s starting to enjoy gentle pets, soft voices, and a calm environment where he can finally breathe and relax. Every day he takes small brave steps forward—showing us glimpses of the happy, affectionate boy he truly is.
Tank will thrive with an adopter who understands that trust grows slowly but surely. With patience, space, and gentle encouragement, Tank will shine—and once he bonds with you, he will be a loyal, loving companion for life.
He is current on vaccinations and microchipped, and yes… Tank really was his name—even though he’s not built like one! 😂🥰
If you’re looking for a tender-hearted, soft-coated little friend who just needs someone to believe in him, Tank may be the perfect match.
