Meet Reindeer Games 1 (Harvey) — a sweet, affectionate, and delightfully goofy boy who’s feeling better every day and ready to share his big heart with a loving home. At about 2 years old and roughly 50 lbs, Harvey is the perfect mix of gentle companion and playful pup.
Harvey is doing wonderfully in his foster home. He is fully house trained with no accidents, settles beautifully when left alone with no destruction, and has proven himself to be an easy, respectful house guest. He enjoys relaxing near his people, soaking up affection, and absolutely loves to snuggle. When he’s feeling playful, he’s all about fetch, zoomies, and general puppy silliness — he’s still learning just how big and goofy he is.
On leash, Harvey walks nicely with no negative reactions to other dogs or people. As he’s started to feel better, some playful leash biting has popped up, but this appears to be excited puppy energy rather than stress and should improve with continued guidance and structure. He already knows “sit” and is treat-motivated, making training both fun and rewarding.
Harvey is friendly with new people and has done great meeting strangers. He also lives successfully with two dogs and two cats in his foster home and does very well with them. He would love a home with a playful canine companion to help burn off energy and keep him company. Because of his size and goofiness, Harvey would do best in a home without small children, as he doesn’t always realize how big he is.
Overall, Harvey is a loving, affectionate, happy boy who thrives on companionship, routine, and gentle guidance. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of your life — whether that means cuddling on the couch, going for relaxed walks, or zooming around the yard with a dog friend.
Reindeer Games 1 (Harvey) is currently in the comfort of a foster home. If you’re interested in meeting this sweet, goofy boy, please complete an application and email dogfosters@barcs.org for next steps.
