My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Keke is a 2-year-old spayed female Pitbull/Lab mix with a striking black-and-white coat and a joyful, spirited personality to match!

This fun-loving girl is full of energy and would thrive in a home with a fenced-in backyard where she can run, play, and let her enthusiasm shine. Keke is wonderfully playful and does well with other dogs—but a meet and greet is required to make sure she’s the perfect fit.

Keke loves giving hugs and soaking up attention from her people. She would do best with older children who can keep up with her energetic nature and enjoy her affectionate, goofy side. She enjoys taking walks and exploring the world, though she can pull a bit on the leash—so she’s best walked on a harness to help her stay focused. And like many of our sweet pups, she’s absolutely a foodie, so treats are a great way to win her heart!

If you’re looking for an energetic, affectionate, and playful companion who will keep you smiling, Keke is ready to bounce her way into your life. Come meet this sweet girl today!

More about this shelter

The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.

Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.

Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
