Named Pierce, because of his piercing blue eyes, he’s much more than just a pretty face.
Pierce is an 8-month-old puppy whose foster family has fed his intellect with lots of enriching experiences and focused training. He is a Siberian Husky mix who’ll probably end up 50-55 pounds full-grown, and he’ll have a lot to offer his future forever family.
Already, Pierce knows commands like sit, down, off, out, take a break, and leave it. He’s also working on wait, heel, get it, give, and watch me. Add to that, he walks well on a leash. Talk about a terrific puppy! He’s right at that great age, where he’s not a tiny, needy baby, but he’s still young enough that he’ll adapt to his family and grow up together with them.
He could be your lake dog in training this winter, because he LOVED playing in the water when it was warm out, and he’ll probably be a swimmer. He gets along great with people and especially with other dogs, so he’s ready to pawty when you bring all your friends together. He’ll bring the energy if you bring the treats.
Pierce is a goofy boy who makes his foster family laugh with his antics. Feeding time is sooo exciting for him, and he’s a silly goose. But when he hears one of his commands, he is all ears, all about pleasing his people and being a good boy.
See what we mean? Not just another pretty face here. Not gonna lie, those eyes make it hard to tell him no. He is house-trained and sleeps peacefully all night in his crate. He’s ready to impress you with his knowledge and generally lighten the mood. Who doesn’t want that?
Pierce is good with kids, but depending on the child, he may topple very young kids in all his enthusiasm.
Pierce's adoption fee is $275 and includes his neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Meet & greets and time to share some treats (Pierce hopes!) will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.
What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.
Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.
