My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A volunteer writes:
Buttercup is a five-year-old dame whose world turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away. Arriving at the shelter was traumatic for this pretty Tortie-she was stressed, fearful, and even attempted to escape. But with time and gentle care, her true sweet nature has begun to emerge.
Now settled in her space, Buttercup has transformed remarkably. She enjoys the security of her cubby, where she greets visitors with endearing charm-rolling onto her side and making biscuits to show her contentment. When invited, she readily ventures out to shower her human friends with vigorous head bunts, enthusiastic purrs, and will happily settle into a lap with no desire to leave. This girl truly can't get enough affection and companionship.
Buttercup's progress in such a short time speaks volumes about her resilient spirit and capacity for trust. While we haven't yet explored her playful side, there's likely more personality waiting to unfold. What she needs now is a calm home with a gentle and patient adopter who understands that she's already experienced tremendous loss.
If you're searching for a devoted lap cat who will cherish your company and repay your kindness with unwavering affection, Buttercup is ready to begin her next chapter.

I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.

I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.
