My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Sedona,

My name is Axel. I am a handsome pup with a strong/playful spirit! I am a loyal canine companion who absolutely melts for pets, cuddles and any affection you’re willing to share. I would thrive as your only dog in the home so I can soak up all the love and attention I deserve. I enjoy long walks, play and being close to my favorite humans. If you’re looking for a tender-hearted canine friend who will adore you endlessly, I will be here waiting for you!

I am neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines.

If I sound like a good fit for you and your family...I would love to spend the rest of my life with you! If I sound like a good fit for you, please contact the loving folks at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays and come say `hi!`

More about this shelter

Our Vision - Be Our Heart & Voice
Building a caring community where every adoptable and treatable pet finds a life-long loving home.

Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.

The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.

The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.

Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.

The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
