My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome guy’s story began at ARC after his mother arrived from Lee County Domestic Animal Services in rough shape. Safe and cared for, she surprised us with four precious puppies — and Major has been melting hearts ever since.

He’s playful, a little clumsy on his oversized paws, and absolutely loves to cuddle after a good romp. As a Great Dane mix, he’ll grow into a big, affectionate companion, so a home with Great Dane experience would be ideal.

Think you’ve got room (literally and figuratively) for Major?

Why not complete an application and schedule an appointment to meet him today!

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
