My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Born right here at ARC, this sweet girl has been keeping us smiling since the moment she arrived. Her mama came from Lee County Domestic Animal Services and surprised us with four adorable puppies — and Mystery has been a standout from the start.

She’s silly, playful, and hilariously uncoordinated on her huge puppy paws. And when she’s done entertaining everyone, she’s all about curling up for cuddles and a nap.

As a Great Dane mix, she’s destined to be a big, lovable companion. Homes with Great Dane experience get bonus points!

Ready to meet the girl behind the mystery? Apply today and come fall in love.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
