Meet Dippity! A 47lb, 1 year old Plott Hound who arrived at the shelter as a stray and has been winning hearts ever since. This lovable girl is as friendly as they come—she’s greeted every new human with a wagging tail and an eager lean in for affection. Dippity is easygoing around other dogs- she’s more curious than anything, giving them polite interest without getting worked up. She’s treat motivated and walks beautifully on a leash. Snuggles are her specialty—she’s convinced she’s a lap dog and will happily soak up all the love you’re willing to give. Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
