Pico is a 3-yr old Chihuahua whose original owner went into assisted living. Since then he has been bounced around to a several different homes. We want to find him his forever! He was neutered this week and brought up to date on his shots. Pico is tiny. The smallest dog ever in our rescue. He barely weighs 3 pounds. That being said he needs a home with no big dogs and no very young children. He does well go outside but is pee pad trained. Pico is friendly with people and enjoys being on your lap and sleeping in bed. He is not into toys and very picky about his treats. Pico would love a home where his people are home a lot. This boy needs a committed family to let him settle into his forever home. Pico is fostered in Bath.

Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.
PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
