My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It seems to be a day full of floppy eared chihuahua composers today, so welcome Ethel Smith! This chi is the traditional caramel color, but with a face dusted with powdered sugar to give her the corona of wisdom you’d expect in a seasoned senior. She also has some of the best floppy ears that give her a perpetually inquisitive look, although this cutie is more curious about secret spots to nap and treat flavors than the secret to life. Which is okay, because we know the secret to life is finding the perfect senior mutt to share it with, and Ethel could be just the pup for you. Come find out by visiting Ethel at Muttville today!

Submit Application

Please submit an adoption questionnaire for the mutt(s) you are interested in. We will be in touch within 24 hours to connect!

2.

Meet the Pet

If you know who you're interested in, we'll arrange a meeting in person or virtually. If you're still browsing, come to an adoption event!

3.

Take the Pet Home

If you'd like to adopt we have a short finalization process and then you get to take your new dog home!

Additional adoption info

All of our senior mutts are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given flea/tick/dewormer medication. Regular adoptions are typically $250, and there is no adoption fee for senior adopters and Hospice adoptions, though we love donations to help pay it forward for the next mutt!

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

If you know who you're interested in, fill out our questionnaire at muttville.org/how_to_adopt and we'll arrange a meeting either at our HQ or virtually with your mutt's foster parent. (Many of our lucky mutts live in foster homes!)

If you're still browsing, stop by our extraordinary new home at 750 Florida St. during open hours Tuesday through Sunday 11am-4pm, or come to an adoption event and meet a lot of dogs at once!
