My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Colt – your new happy sidekick

Say hi to Colt, an adorable Chihuahua mix puppy. At just 4 months old, this scruffy 10 lb boy is full of personality and puppy energy. He’s learning the ropes of the big world and is eager to find a family to help him grow into a confident, loving companion.

Colt is doing well with training, is good with cats, loves being in his crate, and has no accidents in his foster family's home. He's always up for an adventure or good cuddle on the couch.

He has developed a deep bond with Pickles, so we hope to adopt them out together.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
