Meet White Sox. She came up from Texas to find her furever home. Here's some facts about White Sox aka good girlie. This girl is the total package!

She is toy and food motivated, and eager to learn! I have been socialized to other dogs and people of all ages. She has gone to daycare, but needs slow introduction to other dogs.

White Sox is very much a Border Collie at heart. She needs a fenced yard for exercise between other activities including walks and mental games. She loves fetch but has to be called to come back with the ball sometimes just to test you. She knows her basic commands but needs continued work on duration (she has happy feet when distance and time is requested of her). She has no issues with bath time.

She has such a positive personality, has never barked, and is able to stay in a room in lieu of crate with no issues. However, she needs a family with an active lifestyle.

She is working hard on sit, come, down, touch, stay, leave it and leash training. As a bonus- she is learning spin/ paw/ sit pretty and roll over ( usually with a pit stop for belly rubs). Just bring the food and time and duration and distance will be mastered with practice.  She does commands away from the home and when working with more than one dog.

Please note: if she is in a crate, she will have no issues with car rides. If not, she will head to the floor while the car is moving so some work is needed. If the car is stopped or it’s time to exit- she is right back to my happy self. Also— she loves to give kisses, so more four on the floor work is needed to avoid jumping.

Otherwise, loud noises, vacuums are no issue for her at all!

If White Sox sounds like a great match, contact Buddy’s to set up a meet and greet. (85)

More about this rescue

Buddy’s Second Chance Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 dog rescue organization and completely foster-based in the Western New York area. We pull dogs and puppies from high-kill rescues all over the country that are on lists to be euthanized. We place them in foster homes until they find their furever homes here in WNY. Every dog that is saved opens up room for another. So in essence two dogs lives are being saved!!
