My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darcy – 5-Year-Old Male Wheaten Terrier (36 lbs)

Darcy is a gentle, sensitive sweetheart who has made wonderful progress in our care. He loves the comfort of his crate, the calm of a quiet home, and the reassurance of a patient human by his side. He would thrive as an only dog with an adopter who understands that slow and steady wins his heart.

Home Requirements:
• Adult-only home
• Securely fenced yard
• Only dog in the home
• Calm, patient adopter

Medical & Adoption Info:
Darcy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is being fostered in the Tampa Bay Area, and his adoption fee is $400.

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
