My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Gulliver is in the process of getting adopted! **
Meet Gulliver, a charming orange boy with a purr that could melt anyone’s heart! Found as a stray, not much is known about his past, but what we do know is that he’s a friendly, affectionate companion who loves all the pets and happily demands your attention. His purr motor is top-notch, and he’s happiest when snuggled up with his people (or exploring new toys and spaces).

Chorley is curious and playful, and like all kittens, he needs plenty of enrichment and stimulation to keep him happy and out of mischief. Interactive toys, climbing spaces, scratching posts, and safe objects to explore will make him the happiest little guy around.

If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, attention-loving kitten who will become your loyal companion and a source of endless joy (and entertainment), Chorley is your perfect match!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
