My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Oliver and Echo are a bonded pair and are looking to find their forever home together! **

Meet Oliver, a sweet longhair mix with plenty of floof and a gentle heart. Almost a year after leaving the shelter and through no fault of their own, Oliver and his sister Echo have found themselves back and are hoping to finally find a forever home together.

Oliver is a shy, nervous boy who thrives in calm, patient environments. He will need a home where he can settle in at his own pace, with someone willing to give him the time and reassurance he needs to come out of his shell.

Because of his long fur and a little extra weight, Oliver will need regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and matt-free, as well as a gradual, vet-supervised weight loss plan to help him get trim and comfortable.

If you’re looking for a quiet, loving companion with a gentle spirit – and the chance to adopt two bonded siblings – Oliver and Echo could be the perfect pair to welcome into your home.

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
