My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Saffron has just arrived, bringing a warm, golden spirit and a soft glow that quietly brightens any space. This orange sweetheart is still adjusting to all the new sights and sounds, which means starting out on the shy side. With time and gentle patience, Saffron begins to unfold into an affectionate, trusting companion.

There is a peaceful curiosity to Saffron, a calming presence that settles into a cozy corner and observes the world with quiet interest. And once comfortable, that soft sunshine personality emerges, offering warmth and tender moments to the people who take the time to earn it.

If you’re searching for a gentle friend with a heart full of comfort and light, Saffron may be the perfect fit for a calm, loving home.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
