My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toby Tabby is a stunning Torbie with a beautiful swirl of colors and a tender spirit to match. This lovely tabby is very shy right now and prefers to take things slowly, especially in unfamiliar environments. Gentle patience, soft voices and quiet spaces go a long way in helping Toby Tabby feel safe.

With time and steady reassurance, Toby Tabby begins to reveal a thoughtful, affectionate side. This sweet companion enjoys simply being near trusted humans and finding comfort in peaceful moments rather than bustling activity.

If you appreciate a cat with both beauty and depth, and you have a calm home where a shy soul can blossom at their own pace, Toby Tabby may be your perfect match.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
