My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say Hello to Darwin! 🐾
Goofy • Gentle • Joyfully Curious
Darwin is a sweet pittie pup with a fun-loving spirit and a heart full of affection. Alongside his brother Gumball, he brings plenty of laughter and puppy playfulness to his foster home. Darwin enjoys wrestling and tug-of-war with his brother, romping around with the adult dogs, and soaking up attention from every person he meets.

When he’s not busy exploring or playing with his favorite toys, Darwin is perfectly content curled up on the couch for a well-earned nap. He’s a great little sleeper, snoozing through the night without a fuss, and he’s already crate trained. His potty training is coming along beautifully too—he’s a smart cookie who loves to learn.

If you’re hoping to add a cheerful, affectionate puppy to your family, Darwin is ready to steal your heart—and probably your spot on the couch! 💚🐶

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
