My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Mr. Riggles was brought in by their previous owner on December 9th, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Mr. Riggles! Mr. Riggles is a walking, wagging bundle of wiggles. His whole body gets in on the action-especially when he breaks into his signature "Riggle Run," guaranteed to make you smile. He's all about the good times and will happily wiggle his way over for any and all petting. Older, respectful kids enjoy his goofy charm, and he enjoys their company just as much. During mealtime, Mr. Riggles likes to keep things personal-he prefers his food to be just for him-so a bit of structure around feeding helps him feel comfortable. He may also need a refresher on house manners and potty training, but with his eager spirit, he'll pick things up quickly. If you're looking for a playful pal with a name that perfectly matches his happy energy, Mr. Riggles is ready to brighten your days.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
