My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🍊 Meet Mango! 🍊 Mango came to the shelter through no fault of her own after her family had to move and couldn’t take her with them.

This sweet girl is still very young and would do great in a home ready to give her exercise, structure, and lots of affection. Mango is eager to bond with her people and is ready to start her next chapter with a family who will make her a lifelong commitment. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving pup to grow with you, Mango might be the perfect match. Come meet Mango at Norman Animal Welfare and see if she’s the one you’ve been waiting for!

More about this shelter

Norman Animal Welfare is a municipal shelter operated and funded by the City of Norman, Oklahoma. In addition to providing a safe environment for our adoptable animals we also are responsible for the enforcement of all animal related laws within the City of Norman and holding all stray animals that are located. In addition to these main roles, we also provide public microchipping, city pet licensing, and other educational services to our community.
We average approximately 3,400 animals in and out of our facility each year. We have an amazing facility that fully opened in 2016. We operate daily with a very limited staff supported by several amazing volunteers. We operate an active foster program and are always seeking to work with those in our community interested in assisting us in our mission.
