Approximate Weight: 29 lbs as of 11/22/25
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Kaily has lived with a children for her entire life.
Currently Living at: DC area foster home
Kaily is Looking For: Her forever home! Kaily is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for sniffy walks and romps with pup pals and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so she can show how super smart she is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together.
Most of all, though, she wants to know she is safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags she has, and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Is Kaily the one you have been seeking?
Shelter Info: Kaily is a former service dog with excellent obedience and instant response to commands. She knows Sit, Down, Go Climb, Heel, Bring, and Go Potty, and works with clear focus. She’s 7 years old but has the energy and lightness of a younger dog, so she would genuinely benefit from an adopter with an active lifestyle who enjoys structured walks or consistent routine. She gets along with other dogs but isn’t playful and prefers staying close to her person. Kaily is a handler-oriented dog who thrives with direction and daily engagement.
What My Foster Says About Me: She is excellent on a leash and is friendly with other dogs, but not overly interested. She is doing great around the house and has played well with our 10 year old boys and our dog. She is sweet, docile, eager to please and very snuggly.
